Valsala S. Pal, DDS
Dr Valsala Pal received her DDS degree from the University of
Maryland, School of Dentistry in 1973. She joined the Virginia
State Public Health system and served as a public health dentist
at various locations in Fairfax County. In 1999, she received an
award from Fairfax County Headstart Counsel for her 'special touch
with children and their families'. After 27 years of dedicated
service to the Virginia Department of Public Health, Dr. V. Pal
retired in 2000 and joined her husband, Dr. G. S. Pal, in private
practice. She loves to work with children and believes in a
gentle, highly animated and friendly approach to dental treatment.
"In treating children, their very first encounter with me is
crucial. It’s my job to earn their trust first and the best tool I
have in order to do this is paying close attention to them, and
explaining what I do in words that they can understand. Creativity
and tapping into their imaginations is key."
